Did you know that every year, thousands of dogs are rounded up to be eaten in Yulin, China as part of the Dog Meat Festival?
The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is not only a horrifying act of animal cruelty but also a significant food safety issue. Dogs sold on the market are often sick, poisoned, and dying animals.
They suffer horrendously during long, trans-provincial journeys, enduring many days without food or water, and they may carry contagious diseases. Truckloads of dogs and cats are driven long distances in horrendous conditions—crammed on top of each other, transported for days, and deprived of food and water, only to be brutally slaughtered for their meat. Family pets are stolen for the trade, subjected to unimaginable abuse.
There is documented evidence of trucks currently being stopped on their way to Yulin, showing that action can be taken. But we need your help to stop it permanently.
We must end this cruelty now. Add your name now.
