Recently, our team in Poland rescued two puppies, Tom and Mikki, from an illegal and horrific puppy farm. They were living in deplorable conditions with no access to food or water, and were so malnourished they had resorted to eating their own faeces.
Despite their bloated appearance, this is not a sign of overfeeding, but rather an indication of a severe worm infestation. Both puppies also have hernias that need to be urgently removed by veterinary surgeons. They were covered in fleas, losing blood at a rapid rate. If we hadn't intervened when we did, they may not have survived much longer.
Now, we have a race against time to get these puppies the urgent medical care they desperately need. They deserve a chance at a healthy life, and with your help, we can give them just that.
