Recently, two men were charged with horrific animal fighting offences after law enforcement discovered numerous dogs at a residence in appalling conditions. These pit bull-type dogs were found tethered to heavy chains outside, with no access to clean water. Some bore deep scars and wounds consistent with the brutal reality of dogfighting.
Tragically, two of the dogs were in such poor health that they had to be euthanised. Eight adult dogs and five puppies were relinquished and taken for emergency veterinary care, but their future remains uncertain.
