In early July, a defenceless kitten named Joffrey was subjected to unimaginable horror—doused in petrol and set ablaze by a man who has since been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and other crimes.
According to witnesses, this horrific act unfolded after a heated argument between two men. One man claimed his neighbors were not only responsible for setting the kitten on fire but were also callously joking about it
Another witness described how she tried to save Joffrey by dousing him with water after finding him engulfed in flames in her garden.
Joffrey's injuries are extensive, with severe burns covering most of his tiny body. He’s endured multiple surgeries and now battles a life-threatening infection that resists treatment. This innocent creature’s suffering must not be in vain.
We demand justice for Joffrey. If the perpetrator is found guilty, he must face the maximum possible sentence. Anything less risks enabling future cruelty and perpetuating a cycle of abuse.
