Recently, in Louisville, Kentucky, police arrested Kareem Garner, a man suspected of running a prolific dog fighting ring. Acting on an anonymous tip, the Louisville Metro Police discovered dogs living in deplorable conditions at his residence.
Four dogs were found in faeces-infested kennels or trapped in mud, with several suffering from heartworms. Officers also found items commonly associated with dog fighting, such as weighted collars, carpet mills, scales, and spring poles.
